TideStick is designed for anyone who is trying to determine the speed and direction of tides and currents.
The application is used in conjunction with a stick that is placed in the water and allowed to drift. By capturing the location where you drop it and the location where you pick it up - the application can calculate the direction and speed of the tide/current. This information is placed on the map, so that you can easily analyse the possible affect of tide/current on your water activities.
This application is particularly useful for the dinghy sailor trying to get an edge for a sailing championship.
